Mrs. Frances Louise Griffin Davis, age 88, of Richardson, Texas passed away January 30, 2009, at her home. She was born on February 2, 1920, in Allen, Texas to B.C. and Betty (Christie) Cook. In 1938 she was crowned Miss McKinney and in the same year she married William S. Griffin in McKinney on July 6. Following the death of her first husband, she married Herb Davis on July 24, 1976, in Plano, Texas. Frances was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Plano. She is survived by her husband, Herb Davis of Richardson; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Libby Griffin and Tom and Jan Griffin all of Plano, Bill and Elaine Griffin of Lewisville; grandchildren, Tiffany Hall, Charisse Snyder, Bryan Griffin, Dan Griffin and Matt Griffin; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and many friends. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Christine Cook; and first husband, William S. Griffin. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Chet Haney and Chaplain Jim Upchurch officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m., Saturday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
