Frances L. Anders of Lubbock, Texas passed away April 23, 2017 at the age of 79. She was born December 6, 1937 to Mack “MM” Gardner and Winnie (Smyth) Gardner in Bennington, Oklahoma. Frances married John Keith Anders on February 11, 1956 in Levelland, Texas. She was raised on the family farm and worked for the family owned Gardner Grocery Store in Levelland, Texas until she was married. She was a 1955 graduate of Levelland, High School in Levelland. Frances was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Lubbock.
Frances was survived by her son, Larry K. Anders and wife Nesa of Plano, Texas; daughter, Brenda Jo Turner of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Adam K. Anders of Plano, Texas, Auston K. Anders, of Frisco, Texas, Allison M. Anders of Dallas, Texas, and Danielle N. Turner of McKinney, Texas; and great-grandson, Eli.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John K. Anders, parents, Mack “MM” and Winnie Gardner, great-grandchild, Josiah “JoJo” Keith Turner, and brother, Harve M. Gardner.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive guests at a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas.
