IN LOVING MEMORY

Frances Gill Griffin

Jan 09 1940 - Jun 13 2017

Frances Gill Griffin, a long time resident of Farmersville, Texas, gained her angel wings Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at her home, surrounded by loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church in Farmersville.

Fran was born on January 9, 1940 in Sweet Home, Arkansas to Milburn and Rita Gill.

Fran married her best friend Jack Griffin on November 5, 1965 in Mesquite, Texas. They moved to Farmersville in 1967 where they raised their family and worked locally. Fran owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetics for many years before they both followed their hearts and opened Griffin Jewelry in McKinney in 1985. Griffin Jewelry is still an ongoing legacy to their dream. Fran was loved and respected by so many customers and many considered close friends.

Fran was a loving wife, mother to three daughters and a devoted "Nano" to five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Nano attended every ballgame, cheer competition, theater production, AG show, and volleyball tournament, always being her grandchildren's biggest fan.

Fran is survived by her husband Jack; daughter Cherye Walker and son-in-law Kurt, of Farmersville; daughter Kristi Chapman of U.S. Virgin Islands; daughter Angie Kraft and son-in-law Brad, of McKinney; grandchildren Brad and Janet Walker; Whitney and Mitch McCall; Clay Chapman; Cole Chapman; and Lexi Kraft; four great-grandbabies; sister Peggy Fielding of McKinney; nephew Todd Fielding and his wife Ronda; and many loving cousins. Fran was preceded in death by her parents Milburn and Rita Gill.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the PALS PROGRAM which was near and dear to her heart.  She was touched by Lexi's passion of working daily with special needs children.
