Frances Lillian Gilbert, age 93, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2012. Frances was born May 3, 1918, in Sanger, Texas, to Needham and Maggie (Flesher) Sanstrom. On July 31, 1937, Frances married Euless Gilbert, in McKinney, Texas. She worked for Haggar Pants, as a seamstress, for eighteen years. Frances was a member of Community North Baptist Church, and the church quilters club.
She is survived by her children, Buddy Gilbert and wife Barbara, of McKinney, Texas, Frances Egan and husband Bill of, Pickton, Texas, Loutricia Arnold and husband William, of Lawton, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Melody Rogers, Monica Woodard, Stephanie Gilbert, Angelique Kuykendall, Tracy Nadeau, Stacy Hart, Carey Woessner, and Terrie Callarman; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Needham and Maggie Sanstrom; husband, Euless Gilbert; brothers, Lloyd Sanstrom, Durward Sanstrom, and Erwin Sanstrom; and sister, Selma Hodge.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with Dr. Bruce Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, Allen, Texas.
