Frances Dalton Chesney, age 84, of Prosper, Texas passed away September 4, 2009. She was born November 28, 1924 in Collin County, Texas to Sam and Julia (Hinsley) Dalton. On March 2, 1946 Frances married Ernest Chesney in McKinney, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prosper. She is survived by her son, Ernie Chesney and wife, Mary of Gunter, Texas; granddaughters, Stacy Powell and husband, Steve of Hutto, Texas, Sarah Birge of State College, Pennsylvania and Rachel Chesney of Gunter, Texas; grandsons, Eric Birge of Prosper, Texas, Brett Chesney and wife, Kelley of Prosper, Texas and Adam Birge of Portland, Oregon; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Julia Dalton; husband, Ernest Chesney and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Brother Jerry Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Monday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
