Folse “Teedy” Richard Boudreaux, 81, a native of Morgan City, LA and resident of Thibodaux, LA passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2011, in Frisco, Texas. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Thibodaux Funeral Home, 104 St. Patrick Highway, Thibodaux, Louisiana. Visitation will resume on Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux, 720 Talbot Ave, Thibodaux, LA 70301. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Christ the Redeemer with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA. Mr. Boudreaux was born on February 7, 1930 to Lovelace Joseph and Viola Margaret Folse Boudreaux. He is survived by his devoted wife Betty Lois Boudreaux (nee), and is the loving father of Jill and Harold Sonnier (Flower Mound, TX), Kevin and Sylvia Boudreaux (Jacksonville, FL), Brian and Lisa Boudreaux (Sulphur, LA), Mark and Danna Boudreaux (Hartselle, AL), Brett and Jamie Boudreaux (Lake Charles, LA) and Melissa and Steve Bell (Mesquite, TX). He is also survived by his sister Janet Boudreaux Courtney of Morgan City, LA, fifteen grand children, and six great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Benjamin Andrew Boudreaux and Lovelace Joseph Boudreaux, Jr., and sister, Grace Audrey Boudreaux Carpenter. Mr. Boudreaux retired from Sun Oil Company in 1986 after 36 years of service. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic High School, Morgan City, LA and studied Petroleum Engineering at Nicholls State University. An active member of his church and community, Mr. Boudreaux was a member of the “Sodality of Our Lady” (since 1941), served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the city of Thibodaux (1997-2003). He was a Member of Lafayette Petroleum Club, Houston Club, Corpus Christi Town Club and Corpus Christi Yacht Club. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Christ the Redeemer Council #8906 , Thibodaux High School Band Boosters Club (1969-1979), and the Smokey Mountains Parks & Recreations Ambassador Volunteer (1990-2004). He was honorably discharged from the Louisiana National Guard with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Boudreaux was an avid camper and traveler. He is loved and will be missed by family and friends.
