Funeral services for Mrs. Floydine Sanders Campbell, 96 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday February 18, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Leonard. Rev. Willie Johnson and Rev. Adam Spore will officiate. Burial will be in the Burns Cemetery at Trenton. Family visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time Tuesday February 18, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Leonard.

Mrs. Campbell was born June 9, 1917 at Klondike, Texas. Her parents were William Floyd and Mary Cleo Jones Sanders. She was a graduate of Trenton High School and she worked for many years as an office nurse for Dr. R.D. Van Schoick. She later worked several years for Eugene Kegans at the Leonard Pharmacy. She married Darven Ewing Campbell March 7, 1936 at Whitewright. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leonard for more than 60 years where she was also a part of the United Methodist Women and she was a member of the Whitewright Chapter of the Eastern Star. She passed away at the Leonard Manor Sunday February 16, 2014.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: David and Martha Campbell of Van Alstyne and Dwain and Melinda Campbell of Leonard; her grandchildren: Glenn and Julie Corder of Dallas, Lisa and Darren Beaudo of Katy, Melinda and Paul Baugh of Orangeville, Davin Campbell of Denton, Scott and Karin Campbell of McKinney, Doug Campbell of Denton, Adriane and Wes Howard of Whitewright, Kristen and Bret Melichar of Whitewright and Nick and Kimberly Campbell of Leonard; her daughter-in-law: Edna Christian of Orangeville. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Thelma Henson, her son, Don Campbell, and her sisters, Alda Braddell, Ardelle Tilger and Meretha Crawford.
