Floyd Williams

Floyd Williams, age 90, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 30, 2008. He was born November 9, 1917 in Okema, Oklahoma to Robert and Minnie Williams. Floyd lived in the Goldsmith and Odessa area of West Texas for fifty years. He retired from Amoco in 1982 after 31 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Volunteer Fire Department in Goldsmith, Texas. Floyd moved to Princeton in October 2001. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Miles and husband, Mike of Princeton, Texas and Kathryn Friemel and husband, Marvin of Andrews, Texas; son Robert Williams and wife, Lois of Great Mills, Maryland; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Fern Luttrell Chambers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Bell; son, Richard Williams and wife, Dena; daughter, Mary Ruth Williams; grandson, Richard Scott Miles; three brothers and five sisters. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas with Chaplain David Smith officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Officiating as pallbearers will be grandsons, Bobby Williams, Mark Friemel and Randy Friemel; great-grandsons, Bo Williams, Derek Friemel, Joshua Friemel. Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Friemel and Jacob Friemel.
