Floyd Eugene Mounger age 75 of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 4, 2009. He was born on July 20, 1933 in Culleoka, Texas to Pete and Sally (Summers) Mounger. Floyd was a longtime resident of McKinney. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Carter Craft for 45 years and retired in 1995. He was of the Baptist Faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his sons, Tracy and Renee Mounger of Van Alstyne, TX; Michael and Jeannie Mounger of Melissa, TX; Chubby and B.J. Nelson of Princeton, TX; Glen and Elisabeth Sims of Wichita, Kansas; daughters Brenda and Tommy Stewart of Princeton, TX; Linda Smith of Alvarado, TX; Charolette and Joel Garza, of Allen, TX; brother Harlin Mounger of Princeton, TX; sisters Ruby Mounger of McKinney, TX; Grace McGregor of Lewisville; Delphine Van Dyke of Salado, TX; Zola Estep of Floyd, TX; nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Sally Mounger; wife, Ellen Owita Mounger on January 28, 1996; two brothers and six sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Sadler officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Monday, April 6, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
