Florence Odell Bangs passed from this life to the next on June 3, 2011, in Texarkana, Texas. Florence was born to the parentage of Andrew and Edna Clark on March 10, 1926, in Delta County, Texas. Florence settled in Plano in 1952. She retired from Texas Instruments after thirty eight years service and enjoyed her retirement years visiting with her friends and doting on her grandkids and great-grandkids. Florence was a committed follower of Jesus Christ and her future was secure long before she breathed her last on this earth. She is now dwelling in the house of her Lord where she will celebrate and praise His name forever. She is survived by her son, Kenneth W. Bangs and daughter-in-law, Trudy Bangs; grandchildren, Kristen Bangs and Kenneth W. Bangs, II, and wife, Anel Bangs; sister, Ruby Jackson; brother, James Clark; sister-in-law, Murlene Clark; and a host of friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence W. Bangs, and sisters, Louise Cook and Joyce Herndon. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
