Fern Marie Qualley Calk

Fern Marie Qualley Calk, 85 year old Leonard resident, passed away Friday October 14, 2016 at the  Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville..  Fern was born November 16, 1930 at Denver, Colorado.  Her parents were Gilbert and Marie Paxton Qualley.  She married James Randolph Calk February 10, 1947 in Denton,Texas.  She worked for many years as a clerk in retail sales and she was a member of the Cross Pointe Baptist Church.  No public services are planned.

Fern is survived by her son:  Stephen Wayne Calk of Leonard; her daughter and son-in-law:  Kay Pollard and Joe Daugherty of Leonard; her seven grandchildren:  Tammy Parker of Grand Prairie, Stephen Michael Calk of Austin, Kimmie Freeman of Little Elm, Douglas Pollard of Odessa, Amy Shaffer of Leonard, Carla Stokes of Nashville, Tennessee and Jessica Daugherty of Celeste; her three sisters-in-law:  Peggy Click of Waxahachie, Johnny Calk of Irving and Angie Calk of Fort Worth.  She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Calk, a granddaughter, Christina Pollard and a grandson, Jeremy Daugherty.
