IN LOVING MEMORY

Faye Hunt

Feb 18 1943 - May 10 2010

On May 10th 2010 Elizabeth Faye Hunt was called home. She was born in Mesa Arizona, on February 18th 1943, to parents Dora Elizabeth and Ray Lee Gregory. A memorial service for Faye will be held at McKinney First Baptist Church on Saturday, May 15, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Peter McLeod officiating. Faye accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior as a seven year old to, as she said was, “to be with her mother in heaven”, who passed away when she was 18 months old. After moving to China, Texas during her high school years from California, Faye graduated from China High School in 1961. While married, and a young mother of two, Faye graduated from Lamar University in 1968. After Lamar, Faye graduated from Baylor University in 1973 with her master’s degree in education. She loved the fact that she was a BAYLOR BEAR. Faye was a dedicated teacher of the youth that attended school in Waco, Texas, Bryan, Texas and Greeley, Colorado. She also taught in Italy, Germany, and Korea for the department of defense schools before her retirement in 2008. She touched many lives as an educator with her calm soothing nature in her classroom. To this day the greatest treasure she past down to her children is her Christian faith. Faye insisted as a mother that her children attend church often times over their own personal interest. She began every morning at 5:00 a.m. in prayer for those she loved. Faye is preceded in death by her mother, Dora Gregory and father, Ray Gregory. “A good person out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things.” Matthew 12:35. She is survived by her children; son, Shawn Patrick Hunt, his wife Diane and their sons Duff, Daxon, and Dane; son, Gregory Ian Hunt and his wife Sherri, and their children Hayden Ian and Grace Elaine; her daughter, Monica Joy Alston and her daughter Reagan Michalla. Her daughter, Elizabeth Marie Kohler and her husband Chris, and their son Kai Geddis Kohler. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that your wonderful thought of a donation be made to your favorite charity.
