IN LOVING MEMORY

Fatmah Tachie

Sep 14 1970 - Jun 20 2011

On Monday, June 20, 2011, Fatmah Tachie went home to be with the Lord. Fatmah was born in Cairo, Egypt on September 14, 1970 to Abu Bakar Sidique Kabia and Atiat Bayumi. As a child Fatmah went to Sierra Leone, her father’s country of origin, where she lived with her paternal grandparents for few years. She returned back to Egypt as a teenager. Few years later she moved to Tel-Aviv, Israel where she met her husband Dan Tachie and they were united in Holy Matrimony on November 19, 1994. A little over a decade ago, Fatmah and Dan along with their two children, David and Nicole moved to the United States. As a way of sharing the American Dream, they later adopted two children from Africa, Marie Tachie, a relative of Fatmah and Mike, a relative to Dan. Fatmah and her family settled in McKinney, Texas. Fatmah was a sweet, loving, and kind person. She was well loved by everyone and she expressed her love in so many ways to everyone she came in contact with. Visiting her home was a pleasure and she would always greet you with a big hug and a smile. She had a big heart, she always gave no matter what, and she was a prayerful woman. Fatmah loved to dress up and look nice. She had a unique style and she loved jewelry, particularly gold. She also loved traveling, family gatherings during the holidays, and cookouts. Fatmah has left a positive mark in this life and has now “joined the great cloud of witnesses.” She will never be forgotten. Fatmah leaves behind to cherish her precious memories her husband, Dan Tachie, four children, David, Nicole, Marie and Mike, three brothers, Mohamed Kabia of Amsterdam, Holland and Khaled Kabia of Cairo, Egypt, one half brother, Nadir Alsuni Mohamed of Cairo, Egypt; one sister, Hannan Mohamed of Denton, Texas and a host of family members and friends here in the United States and abroad. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with a reception following at, 3400 Ash Lane McKinney, Texas 75070.
