Fannie May Alexander, age 75, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 14, 2014. She was born January 5, 1939, in McKinney, Texas, to Ernest and Hazel Cannedy. Fannie retired from Fisher Controls where she had worked for a number of years. She loved doing ceramics and sewing. Fannie was a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by her sister, Sheron Hurt of Melissa, Texas; brother, Jimmy Cannedy of Telephone, Texas; sister, Donna Price of McKinney, Texas; four nieces; 1 nephew; aunt, Rhelda Bailey of McKinney, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Fannie is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Hazel Cannedy; sister, Mary Fay Hickey; brother, Ernest Ray Cannedy; niece, Jennifer Hurt; and nephew, Kelly Hickey.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Thursday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
