F.H. "Cotton" Chandler, Jr.

Franklin Harvey “Cotton” Chandler, Jr. of McKinney/Frisco, Texas passed away January 31, 2015 at the age of 83. He was born November 1, 1931 to Franklin Harvey, Sr. and Mary (Alderson) Chandlerin Frisco, Texas. Cotton was a graduate of Frisco High School. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Cotton married Martha Williams on April 26, 1986 in McKinney, Texas. He was a member of the McKinney Kiwanis Club, Dairy Queen Coffee Club and First United Methodist Church in McKinney. Cotton was a builder and developer in the North Dallas area for over fifty years.

Cotton is survived by his wife, Martha Chandler of McKinney, Texas; sons, Roy Mason of Frisco, Texas and James R. Henry and wife Linda of Waxahachie, Texas; daughters, Michelle Tuggle-Bryson and husband John of Aubrey, Texas and Laurie Henry of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Krista Wade and husband Tommy of Gunter, Texas, Kyle Tuggle and wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Shane Henry of Waxahachie, Texas; great-grandchildren, Chandler Wade of Gunter, Texas, Cooper Wade also of Gunter, Texas, Wyatt Tuggle and Vance Tuggle both of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister, Mary R. McTee of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas. An inurnment will be held at DFW National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends during a visitation Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at their home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 315 North Church Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.
