Funeral Services for Evelyn Maxine Smith, 80 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday February 8, 2011 at the Leonard Church of Christ. Charles Wrenn and Steven Medford will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 7:30 Monday February 7, 2011 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mrs. Smith was born January 16, 1931 at Lamasco, Texas. Her parents were William Howard and Emma Rachel Dodson Smith. She married Purvis Alvin Smith January 16, 1987 at Farmersville, Texas. She was a high school graduate, a retired clothing inspector with Haggar Slack Company and a member of the Leonard church of Christ. She passed away Friday February 4, 2011 at the Red River Regional Hospital at Bonham. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Jerry Wayne and Carol Kuhn of Breckenridge, TX; her daughters: Joyce McEuen of Wylie, TX and Jane Howell of Van, Texas; her brother and sister-in-law: Howard and Betty Smith of Lamasco, TX; her sisters and brothers-in-law: Mammie Jo and Bobby Dunn of Gober, TX and Jane and Dean Newman of Jackson, Missouri; her brother-in-law: Dennis Griffith of Farmersville, TX; her grandchildren: Scott Tribble, Brian Tribble, Katrina Tribble, Jennifer Freeman, Debbie Cyganik, David Womack and Steve Womack; her great-grandchildren: Braiden Tribble, Emory Tribble, Kadence Tribble, Ella Beth Tribble and Kaden Collin Jackson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister: Rachel Griffith; two brothers: James Smith, as well as a brother who died as an infant. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
