Evelyn Davis, age 89 of McKinney Texas, passed away November 23, 2011. She was born November 5, 1922 in Denton County, Texas to William Thomas Reynolds and Vela (Rutledge) Reynolds. Evelyn was a pastor’s wife and homemaker. At the time of her passing, she was a member of White Rock Baptist Church in Anna and also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Prior to joining White Rock, she was a member of the Country Side of Gospel group; traveling alongside her husband throughout the Southwest singing and working with various churches and missions. Evelyn had always enjoyed sharing her singing and along with her husband and several of her closest friends they organized Saturday Night Live in the Country to share their love of Country, Gospel and Bluegrass music in the Collin County area. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Moeller and husband Al of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren Wendy Herrmann, of McKinney, Texas, Lance Roberts of Mesa, Arizona and Wesley Roberts of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Katherine, Wes and Shyanne; sister Ruby Mullins of McKinney, Texas and several, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm, Saturday, November 26, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Reverend Travis Duffy officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friend during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
