Mrs. Eva L. Johnson, age 71, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 29, 2007, in Arlington. She was born April 28, 1935, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to George and Lezethia (Harrison) Lewis. On December 24, 1955, she married Henry Douglas Johnson in McKinney, Texas. Mrs. Johnson attended LVN School and devoted several years to Collin Memorial Hospital and the Pavillion. She was a devout Christian, ordained minister and an active member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Valerie LeBlanc of Arlington, Texas and Carol Elaine Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona; son, Henry Douglas Johnson, Jr. of Frisco, Texas; sisters, Lillian Johnson and Barbara Thomas both of Fort Worth, Texas and Ruth Fininen of Desoto, Texas and a brother, Jerry Lewis of Fort Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Douglas Johnson; parents; two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1415 Anthony Street, McKinney, Texas 75069, with Rev. John Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
