Eva Louise Hook

Eva Louise Hook, age 88, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on July 6, 2009. She was born on August 7, 1920 to James and Jessie (King) Baxter in Batesville, Texas. On August 8, 1943, she married Roy E. Hook in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She and her husband lived in a number of places. Of the many jobs she held including sales, medical records and homemaker, she most loved working with preschool children. Eva was absolutely committed to her beliefs, her family, her principles and her music. She was a past member of the Medical Center Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas until moving to North Texas. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Anna. She is survived by her son, Dr. Jonathan Hook and wife Rose of McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Jordan Hook of Los Angeles, CA, Michelle Stewart of Jefferson City, MO, Chris Barajas currently serving in Germany in the United States Air Force, Stephanie Schweers of Denton, TX; brothers, Larry Baxter of Broken Arrow, OK and Murry Baxter of Sheridan, AR; great grandchild, Ayden Stewart and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and two brothers. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Medical Center Baptist Church, 7015 Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas, with Rev. Roger Box officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
