Mr. Eugene Lee Edwards, age 73, of Lucas, Texas passed away June 21, 2006, in Dallas, Texas. He was born October 6, 1932, in Oxford, Iowa to Floyd and Nellie (June) Edwards. On August 3, 1952, he married Lavone Idel Lee in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Mr. Edwards was a retired printing business owner and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Lavone Edwards of Lucas; children, Cheryl Clark and husband, Bill of Garland, Texas, David Edwards and wife, Crystal of Van Alstyne, Texas and Diane Williams of Lucas; grandchildren, Carol McCloskey and husband, Dan of Caddo Mills, Texas, Jeneé and Joanna Wreath both of Van Alstyne, Brian Edwards also of Van Alstyne, and Kristen and Matthew Williams both of Lucas; great grandchild, Ashton McCloskey; and brother, Glenn Edwards and wife, Joy of Austin, Texas. His sisters, Nadine High and Irene Gallagher preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church in Allen with Rev. June Franck officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
