IN LOVING MEMORY

Ethan Robert Empey

Jun 04 2000 - Oct 15 2012

Ethan Robert Empey; a boy who loved to create, make people laugh

He always had a twinkle in his eye. He loved to make people laugh. And he enjoyed eating pie, any kind of pie.

Ethan Robert Empey, aged 12 of Frisco, Texas passed away on October 15, 2012 in Frisco. He was born June 4, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kendall J. and Teri (Young) Empey.

Ethan was a sixth-grader at Griffin Middle School in Frisco where he excelled in academics, sports and music. He enjoyed playing football with the Frisco Football League (FFL) for four years, the last two of which were on the Patriots team. He also trained at NTA Taekwondo in Frisco. Ethan joined his school’s band this year and played the saxophone. He also participated in Boy Scouts and achieved a 1st Class ranking.

Last year, Ethan participated in Pink Elementary School’s honor choir that performed in San Antonio for the Texas Music Educators Association event.

Ethan’s family and friends will remember their son, brother, and friend as a bright, energetic, and compassionate young man. One of his passions was thinking up and engineering original designs to build. Recently, he amazed his family by crafting a futuristic city modeled out of printer paper.

He was outgoing and loveable and loved to joke around with his dad. He was his mother’s and father’s “I love you,” his mother Teri said. Those who know him will always remember Ethan as vibrant, kind, considerate and full of love towards others. Classmates recognized and appreciated Ethan’s funny side and voted him “most humorous” three years in a row.

Recently, the family’s dog Libby passed away that Ethan was especially fond.

Ethan loved going to church, he loved the Lord, and he loved his family and friends. When it came to dessert, his favorite was pie, any kind.

Ethan is survived by his parents, Kendall and Teri Empey of Frisco; sisters, Erin, Lorin, Morgan and Reagan Empey all of Frisco; brother, Brendan Empey of Frisco; grandparents, Robert and Gladys Young of Frisco and Preston and Glenna Empey of Tooele, Utah; nieces, Eve and Hannah Empey; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
