Ervin Bryan Arnold, age 91, of Melissa, Texas, passed away December 11, 2007, in Melissa. Ervin was born April 23, 1916 in Collin County, Texas, to Willie Curtis and Nettie Emma (Bryan) Arnold. He married Dora Deane Burch on July 20, 1946 in Plano, Texas. Ervin was a farmer all of his life and was an active member of the Baptist church, serving as a deacon for 34 years. He proudly served in the United States Army in World War II stationed in the Pacific. He also served on the board of directors for Plano Mutual Cemetery. He is survived by his daughters, Sylvia Wishard and her husband Joe of Ladonia, Texas and Elaine Owens also of Ladonia; son, John Arnold and his wife, Pamela of Waverly, Iowa; grandchildren, Sherry Wishard Parson and her husband, Brent, Teresa Wishard Lieske and her husband, Ed and Julie Wishard; great-grandchildren, Matthew Wishard Lieske and Kristen Joann Parson; numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Deane; two brothers; daughter, Patricia Kay Arnold; son-in-law, Jimmy Owens. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2007, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening starting at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Plano Mutual Cemetery or the charity of your choice.
