Ernest Gregory Manglicmot, age 59, of Plano, Texas, passed away on December 4, 2013 in Plano, Texas. He was born on October 12, 1954 in Norfolk, Virginia to Ernesto and Katherine (Barkley) Manglicmot. Greg married Diane Hayes on June 5, 1977 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, in Plano, Texas. Greg was a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, class of 1977. Greg was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force in which he flew KC-135’s. After the Air Force, Greg went to work for Delta Airlines and was a Captain flying 737’s. He was a member of the Grey Matters: North Texas Brain Tumor Support Group and the Boy Scouts.

He is survived by his loving wife Diane Manglicmot of Plano, Texas; son, Mark Manglicmot and wife Shannon of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Kara Torres of Plano, Texas and husband Ricardo; grandchildren, Kyle Manglicmot and Madeline Torres; father, Ernesto Manglicmot and wife Teresita of San Diego, California; mother Katherine Greene and husband Henry of Vancouver, Washington; brother, Phillip Manglicmot and wife Julie of San Diego, California; sisters, Barbara Schneekluth and husband Mark of Vista, California and Susan Dillard of Vancouver, Washington, along with several nieces and nephews.

Greg was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Chambers and brother-in-law, Randall Chambers.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, Texas. An inurnment will be held at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado at a later date.
