Ernest Ray Eggleston

ERNEST RAY EGGLESTON Frisco, Texas passed peacefully away on April 9, 2015 in Frisco. Ernie was born April 24, 1927 in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Fort Worth public schools, graduating from Paschal High School in 1945 where he played Basketball and was a Cheerleader. He served in the US Navy from 1945-46. In 1947, Ernie began a 43 year career in freight transportation that began with the T&P Railway in Forth Worth, Texas. After 18 years with T&P and Missouri Pacific railroads, he was employed by Frito Lay, Inc. as Traffic Analyst in corporate headquarters Dallas. He retired from Frito Lay in 1991 as a Technical Support Manager and Distribution Consultant having received many Transportation awards and accolades. Ernie discovered he had a servant’s heart early in life by participating in the Ft.Worth Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Masonic Lodge, Deacon of Randall Mill church of Christ, and was an adult Scout leader for Troop 379. He was an active member of FirstBaptistChurch in Frisco and an advocate for Frisco senior citizen interests. Ernie was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Eggleston; parents, Waller and Mabel Eggleston; brother, Jimmy Lee; and son, Adrian. Survivors include son, Barry Eggleston and wife Jami of Rowlett; daughters, Diana Mays and husband Gayle of Fort Worth; daughter, Carolynne LeNeveu and husband William of Dallas; grandchildren, Crystal Emerson and husband Jason of Oklahoma City; Mavenee Thibodeaux and husband Scott of Houston; Whitney LeNeveu of Dallas and Garrett Eggleston of Rowlett; great grandchildren, Isabella, Angelina, & Gabrielle Emerson of Oklahoma City; and Sophie & Graham Thibodeaux of Houston; brother, John of Fort Worth; sisters, Cathy Williams of Richardson and Billie Jean Tindle of Boerne, Texas; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
