Mrs. Ruth Offutt Sweeten, age 83, of Princeton, Texas passed away on December 19, 2003 in McKinney. She was born on January 29, 1920 to George and Emma (Sasse) Offutt in Plano, Texas. In July 1961, she married Francis Sweeten in Plano, Texas. She worked for Eckerd Drugs Store and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Talley and husband, Bob of Princeton, Texas and Judy Hounshell and husband, Charley of Strawn, Texas; grandchildren, Steve Talley and wife, Ronda of Princeton, Texas, Donna Rogers and husband, Harold of Princeton, Texas and Jeffery Jolly and wife, Jennifer of Abilene, Texas; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Her husband, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and parents preceded her in death. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2003 at Plano Mutual Cemetery with Rev. Fred Bratton and Rev. Terry Herless officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00-8:00 PM, Saturday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
