Elva Lois Ware Craft, age 95, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 10, 2011, in McKinney, Texas. Elva was born March 7, 1916, in Alvin, Texas, to Fred Bernice Ware and Ethel Leota (Smith) Ware. She married George David Craft, Sr., on March 10, 1934, in Alvin, Texas. Elva was a member of First Baptist Church Somerville, Texas. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Small and husband, Fred of Rosharon, Texas and Diana Benbow of Plano, Texas; granddaughters, Sarah Elizabeth Pearce and husband, Mike of Melissa, Texas, Nita Bryan and husband, James of Spring, Texas, and Laurie Stulce and husband, Greg of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Daniel Benbow Mos and wife, Amy of Dallas, Texas, Robert Lee Craft and wife, Kimberly of Conroe, Texas, and David Lee Craft and wife, Trisha of Houston, Texas; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Fred Bernice Ware, mother, Ethel Leota Smith Ware, stepmother, Alma Christina Ware, husband, George David Craft, Sr., sister, Beatrice Ware Stacey, brothers Clinton Ware, Lewis Ware, Sterling Thomas Ware, and Carl Ware, sons, George David Craft, Jr. and Warren Dale Craft. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church Somerville, Texas 11:00 AM, on Friday, July 15,2011, Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
