Elsie L.W. Rolandelli

Elsie Lincoln Watkins Rolandelli, 84, passed away on April 28, 2016 in McKinney, Texas. She was born September 27, 1931 in Newport, Rhode Island to Louis Wm. Watkins and Florence Oldknow Peckham Watkins. Elsie graduated from the Roosevelt Hospital School of Nursing in New York City and moved to Yonkers, New York after her marriage at the Newport Naval Training Station in December of 1952.  Later she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she helped establish the first Out-Patient Rehabilitation Center at Cleveland Metro General Hospital.  She was the first non-doctor director of that unit after having been the head nurse of the largest Outpatient Clinic in Ohio. She moved to the Beaver Lake Area in 1984 to retire with her husband. She was active in the establishment of the Beaver Lake Sail and Power Squadron as the Public Relations Officer, then as Commander of the unit. She also served on the District and National PR Committees as Chairman and Coordinator. At St. Vincent DePaul Church in Rogers, Arkansas, she served as a Renew leader and a Greeter, and was a longtime volunteer for the Rogers-Hough Library Book Store. She had many other varied interests. In 2011, she moved to McKinney, Texas with her husband. Elsie was a member of the St. Gabriel Catholic Church of McKinney, Texas.

Elsie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Julian Michael Rolandelli; her four married children, Laura Rolandelli Coln and husband Steven of Atlanta, Georgia, David Rolandelli and wife Catherine of Palos Verdes, California, Richard Rolandelli and wife Laura of Frisco, Texas and Robert Rolandelli and wife Michelle of Boston, Massachusetts; daughter-in-law, Karen Rolandelli of Greensboro, North Carolina; and 13 grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Darryl Louis Rolandelli in 2009 and her parents. 

A memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2016 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney, Texas with Father Don Zeiler Officiating.
