Mr. Elmer Hemby, age 78 of Allen, Texas passed away on November 13, 2005 in McKinney, Texas. He was born on March 7, 1927 in Bells, Texas to James Talton and Josephine (Stanford) Hemby. He married Mary Martin on April 17, 1945 in Rockwall, Texas. Mr. Hemby served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. He was a Reserve Sergeant Deputy Sheriff for Collin County. He is survived by his children, Carolyn Albert and husband, Herman of Denison, Texas, Bobby Hemby and wife, Charlotte also of Denison, Texas, Sharon Jolly and husband, Jim of Allen, Texas and Jana Kennedy and husband, Terry, of McKinney, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; twin sister, Ellen Gant of Howe, Texas; sisters, Jean Grantland and Christine Kent both of Ft. Worth, Texas. Mr. Hemby was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Hemby and son, Eddie Mack Hemby. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 16, 2005 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. James Craver officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
