Ellis Dennis Williams

Ellis Dennis Williams, age 73, of Frisco, Texas passed away on March 4, 2012. He was born on May 18, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to Ruth (Violet) and Mark Dennis Williams. On August 10, 1963, Ellis married Freeda Turney in Quitman, Arkansas. He was an Elementary Teacher in Cleveland, Ohio and later Supervising Principal at Harding Academy in Memphis, Tennessee. Ellis had a love for math and held the positions of Math Teacher and Principal in Shelby County, Tennessee. While living in Marietta, Georgia he managed an H&R Block Office and was a department manager for Wal-Mart. Ellis also, served in the United States Army and was a member of the Church of Christ. Ellis’ hobbies included wood working, counted-cross stitch needle work, and growing roses.

Ellis is survived by his wife, Freeda Williams of Frisco, Texas; son, Mark Williams of Houston, Texas; grandson, Kendall Samuel of Searcy, Arkansas; two sisters, Linda Bateman of Memphis, Tennessee, Barbara Ritz and her husband, David of Wickcliffe, Ohio; two nieces, Tricia Bateman of Cincinnati, Ohio and Bethany Hendricks of Lubbock, Texas; four nephews, Tommy Bateman of Knoxville, Tennessee, Trace Bateman of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mark Cooper of Memphis, Tennessee, and Cavett Cooper of Birmingham, Alabama.

Ellis is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Mark Dennis Williams.

A Funeral Service will be held at McDermott Road Church of Christ on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be held at Quitman Cemetery in Quitman, Arkansas on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
