Ellen Garrison Moore, age 90, of Plano, Texas, passed away March 24, 2008, in Plano. Ellen was born November 12, 1917, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to John W. and Kathryn (Wright) Garrison. Ellen married Carl W. Moore, a highly decorated veteran who served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Longtime residents of South Williamsport, Ellen worked in the Register and Recorders Office at the Lycoming County Courthouse and Carl was a mechanic and accomplished soloist for events and ceremonies in Williamsport. She is survived by her sons, Ronald and his wife, Claire of Plano, Texas and David and his wife, Thuy of McClean, Virginia; grandchildren, Ronnie, Emily, Richard, Michael, Arielle, and Kayla; and great grandchildren, Haydenn, Eilam, and Jonas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl who passed away in 1966. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 31, 2008, at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home in South Williamsport. Officiating will be Reverend Jane Stahl Lentz, Minister of Visitation at Pine St. United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at East Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
