Elizabeth Helen Carter, age 86, of Plano, Texas passed away June 4, 2005, at the Medical Center of Plano. She was born October 19, 1918, in Bayside, New York to Oliver and Jeanette (McManus) Smith. On January 16, 1960, she married Frank Carter in Bayside. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She is survived by her husband, Frank Carter of Plano; son, John Thomas and wife, Jessie of Farmersville, Texas; daughter, Marianne Mason of Pensacola, Florida; son, Francis Carter of Springfield Gardens, New York; grandchildren, Joyce Tinnes, Judy Garner, John Thomas, Robert Mason and Brian Mason; and 10 great grandchildren. Her parents; sisters, Florence Sinclair and Loretta Kells; and brother, Francis Smith preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Deacon Ron Fejeran officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
