Eleanor Ruth Frasier Hodam

Eleanor Ruth Frasier Hodam, age 91, born September 28, 1922 in Wortham, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2014 in Allen, Texas, after a long illness. She went to be with the Lord and her husband Robert Harrold Hodam, who passed away on March 12, 1996. They were married on March 1, 1943 and celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary just one week before his death.  

She and her husband lived in Oklahoma City for fifty years and were members of Mayfair Methodist Church and in later years, Putnam City Methodist. Eleanor lived with her daughter Paula, in Allen, Texas, for the last three years of her life. Robert worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company for thirty-five years before retiring. They both had a wonderful and fulfilling life and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and is survived by her children Paula Jean Hodam Andrews of Allen, Texas, Robert Harold Hodam, Jr. of Elk Grove, California and his wife Wendy Stark; granddaughters, Michelle Lee Carolan and her husband Kevin M. Carolan, of Chandler, Arizona, Stephanie Ann Long and her husband Russell W. Long of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Amy Aaron Hodam of Elk Grove, California; great-granddaughters, Kristina Lynn Evans of Joplin, Missouri, Jessica Rene Long of Oklahoma City, Heather Nicole Carolan of Chandler, Arizona; great-grandson, Robert William Long, of Oklahoma City; great- great-grandchildren, Ayden Tate Boettcher and Kaylee Lanea Beaver, of Joplin, Missouri; Eleanor’s sister and brother-in-law, Earl and Florence McGinty of Medford, Oregon and brother and sister-in-law, John and Martha Fraiser, of Missouri, along with a host of other loving family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held on April 11, 2014 at 10:00 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
