Elaine D. Smith, age 51, of Garland, Texas, passed away January 4, 2015, in Dallas, Texas. Elaine was born April 20, 1963, in Lamesa, Texas, to Edmund and Gloria (Garza) Avalos.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Smith of Garland, Texas; daughter, Amber Escobedo and husband, Hector, also of Garland; grandson, Allan Joe (AJ); mother, Gloria Avalos of Richardson, Texas; and brothers, Emmanuel Avalos of McKinney, Texas, Eric Avalos of Frisco, Texas, and David Avalos of Richardson, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
