Elaine was also a talented artist and was known for her paintings and drawings. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Sawyer of Los Angeles, California; daughter Trina Foster of Anna, Texas, and brother, Ken Pope of Garden Ridge, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Steve Pope and a son, Scott Barren Sawyer, In keeping with her effervescent nature, a gathering of her family and friends will be held in her home to celebrate her life, the music she loved, and the sparkling memories she left behind. She also requested that her ashes be taken to New Jersey and returned to the Atlantic Ocean off the Jersey shore, where she spent so much time in her younger days.
