IN LOVING MEMORY

Elaine Faye Marshall

Dec 07 1932 - Nov 29 2013

Elaine Faye Norman Marshall, 80 years old, wife and soul mate of Charles Jack Marshall (deceased), died peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2013, at her home in McKinney, Texas.  She was born on December 7, 1932, in Simmesport, Louisiana. While in McKinney, Elaine was lovingly cared for by Epiphania Dube. The love and comfort she received from Epi helped in her long, courageous fight with Alzheimer’s. While the small details of life sometimes escaped her, she never tired of laughter. Her biggest joy was making others laugh - the deeper and heartier the laugh, the better. Visitors were usually met with a sassy comment and a contagious smile!

Known for her green thumb, Elaine’s practice of gardening brought a deep nourishment to her soul. She enjoyed every aspect of gardening while understanding the spiritually it brings as gardening requires patience, faith, optimism, hope, and trust that the future will perfectly and beautifully bloom.

Elaine dedicated herself to helping others as a Registered Nurse, a profession she lovingly engaged in for over 45 years.  She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, where her love of cooking and family traditions flourished.

She is survived by her children, Wendy Marshall White and husband, Dennis Wayne White, Jack Kevin Marshall, Dawn Marshall Cason and husband Alan Ray Cason, Matthew Jude Marshall and wife, Johanna Ruth Gorelick; grandchildren, Scott Marshall Cason, Austin Reed Marshall, Brett Alan Cason, Addison Grant Marshall, Myla Zazula Marshall, Theadora Gorelick Marshall, and sister, Bernadine Newman.

Elaine is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Jack Marshall, her parents, Belfor Norman and Ona Norman, and granddaughter, Lindsey Jean Cason.

Mom, your family send you Love and Light - know that you will be missed dearly.  We know you’re doing good …….. and we’re not going to tell you any different!

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation, one hour prior to the service at the church.
