SFC Edwin L. Rousar, age 63 of Princeton, TX, passed away August 10, 2004 in McKinney, TX. He was born on July 22, 1941 in Racine, Wisconsin to Joseph Francis Rousar Jr. and Margaret Fay (Gagnon) Rousar. He married Lorene Smith on February 13, 1993 in Princeton. SFC Rousar was a retired veteran serving 20 years in the U. S. Army. He received the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Clasp, Silver with 1 loop, Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and Expert Rifle. He was a retired Code Enforcement Officer from the City of McKinney. He is survived by his wife, Lorene of Princeton; daughters, Missy Chandler and husband Jonathan of Rowlett, TX and Nancy Dillon and husband Kevin of Cannal Fulton, Ohio; sons, Adam Rousar and wife Laura of Ft. Hood, TX and Dale Rousar and wife Elizabeth of Nolanville, TX; daughters, Stacy Gillard and husband David of Quinlan, TX, Sondra Hurst of Princeton; grandchildren, Savannah Chandler, Brandy Dale, Euteva Rousar, Dallas Rousar, Ashten Rousar, Amberlynn Rousar, Tyler Dillon, Jerod Dillon, Heather Davis, A. J. Davis, Chase Epperson, Cayden Epperson; great-grandchildren, Casey Rousar, Allen Dale, and Chance Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 14, 2004 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday at Turrrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
