Edward Walger, age 85, longtime resident of Midland, Texas passed away on March 23, 2005, in Allen, Texas. He was born April 12, 1919. He married Edna Helen Conen on June 18, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp where he operated a Teletype in the communications unit. He was a long-time accountant for the Union Oil Company of California where he retired in 1982. After retirement he devoted his time between his favorite pastimes of target shooting and model railroading. He is survived by his sons, William Walger and wife, Joyce of Round Lake, Illinois and Timothy Walger and wife, Kathy of Englewood, Colorado; daughter, Wendy Nelson and husband, Neal of Princeton, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Wendy Nelson officiating.
