Edward Raymond Ostertag, age 67, of Allen, Texas passed away May 4, 2013. He was born March 31, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Edward Arnold and Evelyn (Mantik) Ostertag. He graduated from Stillwater High School in Minnesota in 1964. Edward attended Mankato State College, where he played football. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in Vietnam. Edward also served his country as a member of the Air National Guard for 19 years. He spent most of his career as an electrician and was a member of the IBEW 110 Union. After his retirement, Edward moved to Allen, Texas. He was a member of East Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota and later attended church at Chase Oaks in Plano, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Bettyann Ostertag of Allen, Texas; sons, Allen Edward Ostertag and wife, Ruth of St. Paul , Minnesota, Daniel Raymond Ostertag and wife, Brenda of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Charles Elliott Ostertag and wife, Chris; grandchildren, Amanda Reid and husband, Richard of River Falls, Wisconsin, Charles Edward Ostertag of Allen, Texas, Isabella Christine Ostertag of Allen, Texas, Zoe Semifero of Allen, Texas and Madison Mockler of Allen, Texas; sisters, Elsie Hall and husband, Rev. Julian Hall of, Pennsylvania, Emojean Altman of Minnesota, Elda Faymoville of Florida and Estelle Rolstad and husband, Gary of Minnesota, Evonne Ell of Minnesota; brothers, Earl Ostertag and wife, Kathy of, Minnesota, Eldred Ostertag and wife, Robin of Minnesota, Elliott Ostertag and wife, Kellie of Minnesota and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Chase Oaks Legacy Room, 281 Legacy Drive Plano, Texas 75023.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013 at East Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, followed by a meal at the church for friends and family.
