Mrs. Edna Tallant, age 87 of Princeton, Texas, passed away October 5, 2004 at her home. She was born on July 28, 1917 in Dike, Hopkins County, Texas to Newton Lee and Lula Mae (Wakefield) Mulkey. She married Orville Lorn Tallant on October 10, 1932 in Madill, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton. She was retired from Texas Instruments. She is survived by her husband, Orville Tallant of Princeton; son and daughter-in-law, James and Cheri Tallant of Wills Point, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Leta and Lloyd Baxter of Melissa, TX and June and Sammy Taylor of Princeton; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Bernell Tallant and husband, Don Neel of Princeton; cousins, Opal Langley of Bonham, TX and Ruby Hartsell of McKinney, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Clint Tallant in 1994; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 8, 2004, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Rev. Aaron Meraz and Rev. Robert Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
