Edna Faye Montgomery, age 102, of McKinney, Texas passed away October 28, 2008. She was born March 15, 1906 in McKinney, Texas to Paul Dom and Ida (Scott) Beaver. On May 20, 1926 she married Earl Montgomery in McKinney, Texas. Edna loved to play “42” and watching birds. She was an active member at First Baptist Church, McKinney and was also an active member in a book club. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Holloway of McKinney, Texas; grandson, Steve Holloway and wife, Denise of Arlington, Texas; granddaughter, Jill Scott and husband, Michael of Shreveport, Louisiana; grandson, Larry Lindsey of Arlington, Texas; eight great-grandchildren and their families and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Montgomery; granddaughter, Judy Kay Lindsey; son-in-law, Truett Holloway. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
