IN LOVING MEMORY

Edna Grady

Jun 27 1932 - Mar 28 2015

The family of Edna Grady celebrates eighty-two years of dynamic living. Edna was born on June 27, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the fifth child of twelve siblings. On March 28, 2015, Edna made her transition from this life to her life eternal with our Lord Jesus Christ. In the late 50’s Edna moved to Cassopolis, Michigan.   In this little country town Edna lived her life in full. She was loved by many and admired for her sense of adventure of life beyond the immediate. Edna traveled internationally, was artistic and she was a risk-taker. She was a warm-hearted, beautiful woman who lived her life the best way she knew how. Edna may not always have lived up to her own expectations, yet she was a proud matriarch. She will be remembered by the sound of her laughter, the sweetness of her voice and the strength she taught her six daughters. Yes!, they will remember her strength, her beauty and her perseverance. Edna was a devoted member of Saint Augustine Catholic Church of Washington D.C..

Edna is survived by her daughters, Rev. Angela R. Taylor-Perry of Kalamazoo Michigan, Gretchen Hill of McKinney, Texas, Ava G. Grady-Jones of McKinney Texas, Linda K. Cleveland of Dallas, Texas, Candice N. Grady of Dallas, Texas and Ellen S. Mathias of Washington D.C.; sisters, Delores Cornelius, Anita Harrison, Juanita Harrison; brothers, Eugene Harrison and Albert Harrison all of Chicago Illinois; grandchildren, Chaz Taylor, Georgia Tardy, Austin Taylor, Amber Hill, Tonya Hill, Michael Jones, Ashlee Jones, Tiffany Grady, William Palm, Eboney Okoronkwo, Camerin Jones, Marcel Jones & Robyn Canady; fourteen great-grandchildren; godson, Byron Bixler; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Heart to Heart Hospice and Baybrook Care Center of McKinney, Texas for their support in her final days.

A homecoming celebration will be held 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Psalm 23
