Mrs. Edith "Marienne" Winget, age 77, of Plano, Texas, passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 in Plano. Marienne was born on January 5, 1929 in Rothwell, Yorkshire, England to Thomas Alfred and Selena "Sadie" (Newham) Atkinson. In 1970, Marienne married Hank Winget in Hot Springs, Arkansas. A homemaker, Marienne enjoyed gardening, cooking, children and traveling. Marienne was a veteran of the Waves (English Navy) and a member of the Church of England. Marienne is survived by her children, Karen Hinman and her husband Lee of Denver, Colorado, Wesley Winget of Jacksboro, Texas, Doug Buchanan and his wife Angie of Plano, Texas, Carl Winget and his wife Krystal of Plano, Texas, Debbie Winget Van Dyke and her husband Steve of Coppell, Texas, Dale Buchanan and his wife Debbie of Plano, Texas, Steve Winget and his wife Jeanie of Merrillville, Indiana; grandchildren, Jessica Van Dyke McNalley and her husband Ryan, Matthew Lee Hinman and his wife Delilah, Carla Winget, Henry Winget, Tommy Winget, Steven Winget, Audrey Winget, Ridge Winget, Brock Buchanan, Blair Buchanan; great-grandchild, Colin McNalley; dearest friends, Pat Hunt, Frances Wise, and, Karen Schnecht; and a host of other family and friends. Preceding Marienne in death were her parents, Thomas and Selena Atkinson; and husband, Hank Winget. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Christ United Methodist Church, 3101 Coit Road, Plano, Texas 75075, with reception to follow.
