Edith Biggerstaff Skinner

Edith Evelyn Biggerstaff Skinner was born August 16, 1928 in Whitewright, Texas to Aaron Lytle Biggerstaff and Monnie Jane Donovan Biggerstaff. She married James Skinner on March 20, 1946 in Sherman, Texas. She died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at her residence in Bailey, Texas at the age of 84.

Edith was a graduate of Whitewright High School and a member of the Church of Christ in Whitewright. She was employed for a number of years with Texas Instruments, and Johnson and Johnson in Sherman. Edith and James were partners in life for 66 years, doing everything together. She was always with him, helping him with anything on the farm. They loved each other dearly. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by husband, James Skinner of Bailey; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Biggerstaff of Norman, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Butch Morgan of Whitewright; Alan Biggerstaff of Mesquite; David Biggerstaff of Quinlan; Michael Biggerstaff of Norman, Oklahoma; John Robert Biggerstaff of Jacksonville, Florida; Jane Biggerstaff of Whitewright; Betty Jo Byers of Flagstaff, Arizona; She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Monabelle Saenz and Lytle Morgan; brothers, John Biggerstaff and James Donovan Biggerstaff.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Mr. Frazier Conley. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. Pallbearers will be Butch Morgan, Rusty Morgan, Alan Biggerstaff, David Biggerstaff, Michael Biggerstaff, and Jeffrey Biggerstaff.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 6-8pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
