Edd “Grampa” Rutledge, age 94, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on September 8, 2007. He was born September 2, 1913, to William Charles and Rebecca (Hamm)Rutledge in McKinney, Texas. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his children, Eddie Rutledge of McKinney, Texas, David Charles Rutledge and his wife Carol of Pottsboro, Texas, Kenneth Rutledge and his wife Phyllis of Pottosboro, Texas, Gerald Rutledge SR. and his wife Linda of Whitewright, Texas, and Joy Elaine Sexton and her husband Jimmy of Pontotoc, Mississippi; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wives, Aline Rutledge and Omega Rutledge; Parents, William and Rebecca Rutledge; 5 brothers; and 2 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Fitzhugh Cemetery, Forest Grove Community, with Rev. Harry Long officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
