Mrs. Earnestine “Teen” Melton, age 64, of McKinney, Texas passed away July 2, 2006, at her home. She was born June 23, 1942, in Leonard, Texas to Frank and Ola Bell (Combs) Smith. On October 5, 1985, she married Jerry R. Melton in Las Vegas, Nevada. Earnestine was a registered nurse who along with Jerry made their home in McKinney after she and Jerry retired. She was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jerry R. Melton; sons, Mark Sanderson and wife, Joyce of McKinney and Stevie Sanderson of Garland, Texas; Jerry Bob Melton and wife, Stephanie of Florida and Jimmy Melton also of Florida; grandchildren, Peter Sanderson of Garland, Tina Campbell of Mt. Vernon, Texas, Burney and Ginger Roberts of Celina, Texas; Amy and Josh Deaton of McKinney, Adam Melton of Gainesville, Florida and Brittany Melton of Florida; 6 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Reynolds and husband, John of Athens, Georgia; and brother-in-law, Tommy Joe Melton and wife, Marry Ann of Slidell, Louisiana. Her parents and daughter-in-law, Susan Sanderson preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2006, for visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
