Earl Laverne Love

Earl Love of Frisco, Texas passed away April 22, 2014 at the age of 83 into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born June 19, 1930 to Ivan Edward and Beulah (Grissom) Love in Altus, Oklahoma. On April 3, 1954, Earl married Virginia Kidd in Ada, Oklahoma. Earl is a 1947 graduate of Roff High School in Oklahoma. He attended Oklahoma City University. Earl served his country in the United States Army while stationed in Germany. He spent most of his career as a systems analyst for General Motors in Oklahoma City before transferring to Dallas in 1975. Earl retired after forty-five years. For over thirty years he owned and operated a highway mail contract with the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed working in the garden and was an avid Texas Rangers fan. Earl was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. The love for his wife, children and grandchildren will be remembered by all.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Love of Frisco; daughters, Brenda Smith and husband Ron of Georgetown, Texas, Marsha Glass and husband Ralph of Denton, Texas, and Jeanna Butler and husband Jerry of University Park, Texas; granddaughters, Alyssa Morales of Azusa, California, Lori Hathaway of Denton, Texas, Lauren George of Arvada, Colorado, and Stephanie Butler of University Park, Texas; grandsons, Scott Hathaway of Denton, Texas and Blake Butler of University Park, Texas; great-grandson, Joshua Morales of Azusa, California; brother, Paul Love and wife Shirley of Ada, Oklahoma; sister, Betty McCullers and husband Warren of Denton, Texas; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mildred Love, Edward Love, and Margaret Painter.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A reception will follow the interment at the funeral home.
