Graveside services for Mr. E.B. Arnwine Kent, 77 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday August 18, 2012 at the Leonard Cemetery. Charles E. Wrenn will officiate. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 P.M. Friday August 17, 2012 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.
Mr. Kent was born July 13, 1935 at Trenton, Texas. His parents were Ollie Floyd (John) and Amber Lee Arnwine Kent. He was a graduate of Leonard High School and East Texas State University at Commerce. He served his country as a member of the United States Army. He married Artie Lu Shaw March 30, 1956 at Durant, Oklahoma. He retired from E-Systems in Greenville as a Director of Planning. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard, the Masonic Lodge and he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, being among the first Eagle Scouts from Leonard.
He is survived by his wife: Artie Kent of Leonard; his sons: David Kent of Lake Kiowa and John Kent of Leonard; his daughter: Cindy Kent of Leonard; his sister: Dortha Kent Savage of Leonard; his 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Joe Kent and Bill Kent.
