E.A. Fowler, Jr.

E.A. Fowler, Jr., age 83, of McKinney, Texas passed away August 22, 2009. He was born June 12, 1926 in McKinney, Texas to E.A. Fowler, Sr. and Ida Belle (Davis) Fowler. On June 18, 1949 he married Doris Appelbee in McKinney, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Seamen First Class. E.A. worked for the United States Postal Service as a postal carrier for over 28 years. After retiring from the postal service he worked many years for Northside Pharmacy. He was a member of the VFW and U.S.S. Howorth Association. He enjoyed yard work and traveling. E.A. was a member of Community Baptist Church in McKinney where he was actively involved. He is survived by his wife, Doris Fowler of McKinney, Texas; sons, Randy Fowler and wife, Karen of Lorton, Virginia, Brent Fowler and wife, Kathy of McKinney, Texas; granddaughters, Kelly Fowler Radzilowski and husband, Jeff of Lorton, Virginia, Kristy Fowler of Lorton, Virginia and Allie Fowler of McKinney, Texas; grandson, Mackenzie “Mac” Crawford of McKinney, Texas; brother, Arlon Fowler and wife, Euna of McKinney, Texas; sister-in-law, Marie Fowler of Dallas, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.A. Fowler, Sr. and Ida Belle Fowler; brothers, Davis and Alvis Fowler. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Bruce Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Monday to pay their respects and to sign the register books. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
