Dwayne was born near Ector to Harmon Hayes and Alma Miller Hayes. He graduated from Whitewright High School, served two years in the U.S. Army, and received his BA degree from North Texas in Denton. He and his wife Gladine were married in Ector on December 27, 1957 with his grandfather, Marion Miller, officiating.
After a career with State Farm Insurance in their Dallas and Austin Regional Offices, Dwayne retired and he and his wife moved to Luella.
Dwayne is survived by his wife, two brothers and their wives (Larry and Brenda Hayes of Sherman, and Jack and Jo Ann Hayes of Garland); and by nieces and nephews. His parents and oldest brother, Roland Fralicks, preceded him in death.
The family extends their deepest appreciation to those many people who helped during Dwayne’s illness, (Dr. Barker, Home Hospice of Grayson County, Home Instead caregivers, and friends).
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2:00pm at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Jerryd Wallace.
