Dr. Vance Williams Stallcup

Dr. Vance Williams Stallcup, age 87, of Celina, Texas passed away June 11, 2005 in Celina. He was born July 2, 1917 in Celina, Texas to Dr. Walter Hubbard Stallcup and Rosa Mae (Francis) Stallcup. He married Alice James May 5, 1946 in Rockwall, Texas. Dr. Stallcup attended North Texas State College, Northwestern University, University of California, and Baylor University College of Denistry. He praciticed denistry in Celina for 33 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church since Easter of 1929. Dr. Stallcup served his country in the Navy during World War II and achieved the rank of Lt. Commander. He is survived by his wife, Alice Stallcup of Celina, Texas; son David Stallcup and wife Peggy of Irving, Texas; daughter, Nancy Kenley and husband Ray of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Mark Stallcup, Rebecca Wood, David Kenley, Jennifer Stallcup, Heather Plummer, Stan Taber and Jennifer Bell; 11 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Francis Reeves of McKinney, Texas Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Celina, Texas with Reverend Doug Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery.
